Flotsam golem
Hollowed out husk of a hull held together between flesh and muscle. Strips of sinew sown between wooden splinters. Broken bits of bone gunk glue timber plank to timber plank. Muscle mulched down and mixed with the mast. The crew collected and combined with the ship. Knuckles kneaded into wood knots. Teeth tightened into tar. All melded within her. Metal joints and wooden bones surrounded by a slurry of sailors. Salty stained souls sealed away within the golem heart.
When the ship is pulverized against the rocks. When the waves wash away any last chance of hope. When the unforgiving sea pulls all within itself a flotsam golem is born. A combination of both crew and ship. A horror amalgamation of living flesh, of skin, muscle, tendon, teeth, hair, scalp, fat and acid. A network of organic soup seeps through metal and wood tubes. This lumbering living hell pounds towards prey, like a groggy sailor the legs buckle and skip. The arms wobble and stretch like pulled pink taffy. Mouths appear and scream for death and forgiveness or moan for others to join them.
The flotsam golem is a hell for most men of the sea. Some decide to come together in a way both mentally and physically.
