TTRPG creations: 76/365: Heart Of The Sea

Heart Of The Sea

Cosmic kaleidoscope coloured coral. Fields of flitting finned fish. Numberless and numerous species of nautical nature. Plentiful pastures of potent plant life. Every colour, shade, size, type and being existing within the underwater domain. All of them. Condensed within a living, breathing cube the size of a castle.

Be it an insane wizards works in which potions and poisons created the a gel creature collecting monstrosity. A glorious gods twitching sleep induced insanity driven panic attack. Manic tower sized teeth crushing and grinding. Veins the size of valleys pulsing and heaving. And eyes like oceans circling and snapping. Or a freak instant in nature that produced the perfect collection of sea life. Whatever had the power to create this insane combination is best left alone, untouched and undisturbed.

The cube drifts through the ocean consuming everything within its path. Anything unfortunate enough to get sucked in is either destroyed, digested, swallowed, shredded, pulped, added, assimilated, confettied, mated, mauled, broken, twisted, loved, caressed, taken care of, consoled and cleansed. Everything is made use of in one way or the other. The cube has no qualms or rules. A lawless space in which the most strongest, cunning or sturdy survive.

Legends tell of trawlers being dragged down to the depths. As the net reaches down along the seas ground it connects to the saline paste. With a slow and steady hand the ship, cargo and damned crew are added to the cube. Once mankind enters they truly comprehend that they do not exist on top of the food chain. The cube refuses to grow in size only what's within thrives.
